Mavyn is an Independent Artist out of Atlanta.
If you like fresh styles of R&B mixed with a futuristic twist then you will definitely love this indie R&B recording artist. This multi-talented, Atlanta based Producer/Singer/Songwriter/Actor is set to take the world by storm with his smooth yet unorthodox sound of R&B. Christopher "Mavyn" Jones was born in Fairbanks, Alaska where this Chicago-bred military brat started singing at the age of six but didn't actually start pursing a professional career until the age of ten. The Jones family moved from Chicago to Atlanta to settle and start new lives and Mavyn began to pursue his dreams.
He Attended Tri-Cities Visual & Performing Arts Magnet High School Program with the likes of OutKast, Xscape, Kenan Thompson, Pooh Bear and others where he molded his craft in the Choral Magnet Program. Thereafter, Mavyn attended the Historically Black Illustrious Clark Altanta University majoring in Mass Communications and minoring in Marketing where he would then begin interning at various Record Labels & Studios around Atlanta. His resume includes everything from mixtapes, compilation albums, independent albums, ghost writing, cameos, numerous extra work in feature films such as Tyler Perry's "Meet The Browns" & also in an Atlanta television show filmed on location with his acting presence debut in a lead supporting role as "Cable" in the Crime/Drama Series "Idle Times".
Mavyn's music embraces elements of the future with a never heard before sound that brings a fresh new futuristic twist to R&B. He's definitely one of the rare handful of artists today that knows how to produce, sing, and write hit songs. Make no mistake that there is something distinctly unique about this artist. Be on the look out for this Multi-Platinum bound artist, MAVYN.
